Tabernacle Baptist Church strives to become a fellowship of God-glorifying followers of Christ, living in the power of the Spirit, known for our wholehearted love for God and others, conformity to Christ-likeness, passion for God’s truth, and zeal to make disciples.
We seek to glorify God. Scripture tells us that the primary purpose for people is to glorify God and enjoy Him above all else (Psalm 29, 95; 1 Corinthians 10:31). A church fails to be God’s church if God is not glorified through the church’s worship and service to Him.
We seek to provide a place where God’s people can grow spiritually and discover and utilize spiritual gifts in order to accomplish God’s mission (Ephesians 4:11-16; 1 Corinthians 12).
We seek to engage outwardly as we make disciples through evangelism and missions (Matthew 28:16-20; Acts 1:8; Mark 12:28-34; Luke 9:23-26; Ephesians 5:18). We seek to engage inwardly with one another in fellowship, ministry, worship, prayer, and spiritual growth (Acts 2:40-47).
