where Is the church located?

Tabernacle is located in beautiful downtown New Bern at 616 Broad Street. Click here for directions.

Where do I go when I arrive?

Stop by one of the welcome centers in the Family Life Center lobby or the main foyer at the Broad Street entrance to receive more information about Tabernacle. Our greeters can direct you to the sanctuary.

How long is the service?

Our Sunday morning service usually lasts around one hour and fifteen minutes.

How should I dress?

Come as you are. There is no dress code. You will see people in their "Sunday best" alongside others dressed more casually.

Is there childcare?

Yes. Extended teaching care is offered during the worship gathering for children ages birth through pre-K. We partner with MinistrySafe to ensure all of our staff and volunteers that serve with children undergo screening, background checks, abuse awareness training, and agree to adhere to our child safety policies and procedures.

WHAT IS THE MUSIC LIKE?

We are led by instruments (piano, organ, guitar, bass, percussion), vocalists, and a choir. We sing both new and old songs in both new and old styles. You'll hear classic hymns, modern hymns, and modern songs from artists like the Gettys, Sovereign Grace Music, CityAlight, and more. Here’s a list of the top 50 songs we sang in 2022.

WHAT IS THE SERMON LIKE?

We preach the Bible, verse-by-verse, book-by-book. Feel free to listen to some recent sermons before you visit.

Will I be singled out?

No. We do not ask guests to stand and be recognized, to give a testimony, or come to the front.

Will I be pressured to give money?

We never expect guests to give at our services. Each week we take up an offering where our members give as an act of worship to support the church's ministries and missions.
