Dr. Scott Gleason

senior pastor

Serving at Tabernacle since 2009

Pastor Scott is responsible for preaching and teaching, overseeing the church’s overall ministry, and supervising the staff. While not a native of North Carolina, Pastor Scott has spent most of his adult life in the Tar Heel state. He was raised in a Christian home and responded to the call of the gospel as a child. He was called to ministry at the age of seventeen. Pastor Scott considers the greatest joy of his life the blessing of being a husband to Bekah and a dad to Daniel, Micah, and Eli.

Rev. John Strickland

pastor of worship & media 

Serving at Tabernacle since 2016

Pastor John is responsible for leading worship in our Sunday gatherings, directing the music ministry, and overseeing the media ministries such as audio, video, and the church website. John grew up in Kentucky where he was a pastor’s kid, was baptized at the age of twelve, and began serving in music ministry leadership at the age of eighteen. He studied music education before answering the call to attend seminary and pursue full-time ministry. Pastor John is passionate about combining musical excellence with theological depth to lead rich, spiritually formative worship gatherings. John is married to Jessica, and they have three children: Charlotte, Abigail, and Noah.

Rev. Aaron Allen

pastor of family ministrY

Serving at Tabernacle since 2016

Pastor Aaron is responsible for overseeing the church’s efforts to make disciples of children and students of all ages and their families. He was raised in Southern California and has had the privilege of serving in churches and parachurch ministries in Texas and Virginia before coming to Tabernacle. He was saved at the age of 19 and pursued the call to ministry upon graduation from college. Pastor Aaron is committed to helping equip parents for the awesome privilege and responsibility of discipling their children and to fostering intergenerational engagement within the body of Christ. The Lord has blessed Aaron and his wife, Ashley, with two daughters: Allison (Allie) and Anna.
