WMU - Women's Ministry

Woman’s Missionary Union (WMU)

The Woman’s Missionary Union is 125 years old and helps current missions and ministries in our church, local area, state and in foreign countries.  Our goal is to encourage, educate and involve women on mission projects including serving God and spreading the gospel, serving others, holding devotions and spending time in prayer.

WMU’s vision statement:  “WMU challenges Christian believers to understand and be radically involved in the mission of God”.  Its six objectives are:

1) Pray for Missions
2) Engage in Mission Action & Witnessing
3) Learn About Missions
 4) Support Missions
5) Develop Spiritually Toward a Mission Lifestyle
6) Participate in the Work of the Church and Denomination.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

WMU encompasses the very heart of the Great Commission issued by Christ over 2,000 years ago.  It was organized in 1888 and has become the largest protestant organization for women in the world with a membership of over 1 million.  The missionary story hasn’t changed, the purpose hasn’t altered but the characters and witnesses have changed throughout the decades.  Join this exciting WMU journey so that the missionary story lives on through us while serving an awesome God! Five WMU groups are offered to team up with:
